area30: A connected experience world with KPS.MAX

September 29, 2025

Andernach, 29 September 2025 – Every year, area30 is the key meeting point for kitchen innovation. In 2025, SHD used this platform to send a strong message: connectivity is the future.

Under the guiding principle OneSHD, visitors to the SHD stand were able to experience how digital solutions can work together seamlessly across all processes. From the first customer enquiry and detailed kitchen design through to ERP, after-sales and installation. Every stage of the customer journey is intelligently supported, fully documented, and made tangible. SHD’s aim at this year’s area30 was not just to showcase software, but to present intelligently connected worlds of experience.

A connected experience world

At the heart of SHD’s trade fair appearance was the KPS.MAX Suite, which digitally maps the entire kitchen planning process. It combines various modules for planning, consulting, 3D visualisation and quotation generation into a single system, ensuring that information flows smoothly between all areas without media disruptions.

Looking ahead: SHD Connect – an agile ERP solution for kitchen studios

Another highlight of the stand was an exclusive first look at the new ERP solution SHD Connect, designed especially for small and medium-sized kitchen studios. Browser-based, intuitive to use and fully integrated into KPS.MAX, SHD Connect covers the entire business process from quotation and order processing to materials management, logistics and invoicing. Its close integration with planning ensures that changes are updated in real time and that information gaps between departments become a thing of the past.

Consulting that inspires emotion

With KPS.MAX vision, planning becomes an emotional experience. Visitors to the SHD stand could test the tool live and step virtually into their future kitchen using a VR headset, explore materials and surfaces in real time and view the room in realistic 3D. This immersive consultation allows different options to be compared instantly and the final design to be presented in a highly realistic way. The online kitchen planner KPS.MAX web further enhances this experience by enabling end customers to develop ideas, plan kitchens and communicate directly with the studio online. For retailers, KPS.MAX web acts as a reliable lead generator even before the first direct customer contact.

After-Sales supported digitally with hey.kitchen

To ensure that connectivity does not end with planning, SHD also presented smart after-sales solutions at area30. hey.kitchen supports installation, service and handover in a fully digital way: appointments are coordinated automatically, checklists and assembly instructions are available digitally, and every step is documented in a revision-proof manner. Combined with SHD’s inventory management systems, this creates a continuous flow of information that seamlessly integrates partner solutions, such as those from SHD’s Dutch subsidiary Simar. As a result, individual processes merge into a connected, efficient customer journey that saves time and reduces errors.

Conclusion

At area30 2025, SHD impressively demonstrated how connected solutions are transforming the kitchen industry. Visitors at the stand could immerse themselves in a digital experience world where consulting, planning and ERP work hand in hand. The message is clear: future-proof kitchen planning means intelligently connecting all processes to maximise efficiency, transparency and the customer experience.

Frank Pohl, Vice President Sales DACH:
“area30 was once again a place for exchange and inspiration for us this year. Direct dialogue with customers, partners and visitors has once again shown how strong the interest in connected solutions is and how important it is to shape the future of the kitchen industry together. Our thanks go to everyone who visited our stand and made these conversations so valuable, and of course to our dedicated sales team, who were on site with passion and expertise.”
