Photorealism, emotion and pace — with KPS.MAX, the studio Die Küche Gütersloh captures the hearts of its customers.
The challenge
Today’s kitchen customers expect photorealistic, interactive and easily adaptable planning experiences. The old system was too slow, cumbersome and lacked contemporary presentation capabilities – realistic effects such as lighting, movable cabinets or functioning taps could not be displayed.

  • The Company

The kitchen studio Die Küche Gütersloh was founded in 2013 by Erol Demirtas and is now run together with his son. With a team of nine, this family business emphasises personal, bespoke consultation and great attention to detail. Every kitchen design begins with a thorough needs analysis, followed by careful drafts and an illustrative presentation.

However, rising customer expectations presented challenges: visualisations needed to become faster, more modern and far more intuitive to meet contemporary standards.

    The Challenge

Today’s kitchen customers are digitally savvy — through the internet, they are accustomed to impressive imagery and realistic presentations. To convince during a consultation, kitchen designs must look photorealistic and yet remain flexible and responsive. The old design system could no longer deliver on these demands. Adjustments took too long, the interface was cumbersome, and the presentations felt outdated.

“Our customers expect not just a kitchen, but an experience. They want to open the cabinets, switch on the lights or even operate the faucet — which simply could not be shown before,” explains Timur Demirtas about the starting point.

    Decision Process & Project Implementation

The choice fell on KPS.MAX — the modern successor to their previous software. For Demirtas, the decision was obvious: with SHD, they have a trusted partner, and the new software immediately impressed with its intuitive usability.

The rollout went smoothly: following installation by support and a brief training session by a KPS advisor, the team was ready to use it straight away. Even a trainee, given a short introduction, was able to work independently — a testament to the system’s user-friendliness. “Its resemblance to familiar gaming and mouse functions makes a real difference, especially for younger users. They feel right at home,” says Demirtas.

    The Solution

Today, the studio works far more efficiently with KPS.MAX. Design changes can be made in real time, making consultations not only faster but also more flexible. Crucially, the number of errors in planning has decreased significantly.

The software additionally provides clear value across the sales process:

    • Faster design closures thanks to flexible, precise editing
    • Simplified ordering processes and form generation, saving valuable time
    • Customer delight through photorealistic 3D visuals, atmospheric lighting and richly detailed scenes
    • Greater enjoyment for designers, who can exploit every creative feature to present each kitchen individually

The feedback from customers has been unequivocally positive: many express surprise at how quickly changes can be implemented. Some say they had to wait a long time in other studios with competing software. By contrast, they experience at Demirtas’s studio a dynamic, modern consultation that builds trust.

“Customers consistently rave about our designs. Our kitchen designers use every feature that evokes emotion — from coordinated décor elements to a virtual dog in the kitchen,” Demirtas recounts with a smile.

Our customers constantly marvel at how realistic their kitchen appears. This raises not only excitement but also confidence in our work.
